My name is Jessica Guillotte, Owner and Founder.

You may ask "What is The Chubby Unicorn?". Well, The Chubby Unicorn is a combination of perseverance and impeccable timing. In the year 2020, my whole world changed with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. As I lost my job of four years, while already having my husband out of work due to an auto accident.

We were determined not to let 2020 break us. We embarked on a journey of creative exploration. Drawing on my passion for crafting and creativity, I delved into the world of handmade natural bath products. Despite battling the relentless Louisiana humidity, we persevered. Through countless trials and errors, we finally perfected our secret recipe. Our collection now boasts a diverse range of affordable products crafted with love, using only the finest natural ingredients with a genuine purpose in mind.

When we first started this business back in August of 2020, we rented a single booth at the Lafayette Jockey Lot Flea Market. Since then, we opened a 1,000ft-store inside of the Acadiana Mall in Lafayette, LA on July 1st of 2022. There is no way that we would have hit this milestone without all of our amazing customers. To all of you, we are so thankful.

With the expansion of the business, we have also now expanded our product line to include 60+ different Essential Oils, Bath Salts, Diffusers, Shower Steamers, well over 50 different aromas in Bath Bombs and so much more. 2020 was a hard year, but one that was full of growth and opportunity that put the love that we have for our handcrafted products in a position to be a success for many years to come.
